Phonetic Alphabet Freedom Distressed Sign! Something about the phonetic alphabet is so patriotic to me! What better than making it into some holiday decor? I started with a beat up board that was buried in the garage hoard. Painted it blue, dry brush technique. So you basically feel like you don't have enough paint on your brush... makes it easier to distress it later! Sanded it down a bit when it was dry. Cut some letters out of vinyl... I only had a tiny bit of white left...so I got creative fitting the letters on there. (weeded them off, and used transfer tape then cut them apart) laid them out... Hmmm, an extra "me" for some reason...  So I stuck it to MY water bottle... And then cut out a FREEDOM, all in caps. Laid them out same as the other letters... Applied them to the wood... Perfect Patriotic decor!  :) Linking up to THESE parties this week!

DIY Rocket Jet Packs: Family Edition!   This Rocket Power Jet-Pack is BY FAR, my most popular post! Really though, what's not to LOVE about jet pack imagination??? Super simple to make. Cardboard, straps, hot glue, soda bottles, spray paint,  felt flames, and a ton of imagination. I made it for the *then* 3 year old. And didn't realize until a YEAR later that my other 2 kids wished that they could have one too! Done and Done!  Easiest 20 minute project ever! They are so sweet to each other.  I'm one happy mama! Feng Shui Rock Towers

 Create beautiful compliments to a rock garden or potted plant with these Feng Shui Rock Towers! You might call them Balancing towers... but we took care of the possible catastrophe! You will need a pile of smooth river washed stones Some painters blue tape...or masking tape... and some E6000 glue. Begin by gluing 2 rocks together of slightly varying sizes... allow them to dry.  If they are very flat rocks, you may be able to begin with a couple more.  Take the glued mini stacks and try them out in different arrangements...  Then take those mini rock stacks and glue them together.  Use long strips of painters tape to keep them together while the glue is drying. I let them dry overnight...although they feel stuck after a couple hours. Remove the tape and you are ready to beautify your garden! (We are renting this house and these pots were already here... not sure what's in them...I am patiently waiting to see if they are cool or not....
