Hair Tool Caddy Decorated with Sugar Skull Vinyl DIY!

Organize those hair styling tools with this bright and fun storage caddy. I do my hair and make-up in our upstairs bathroom because the lighting is best...but my bedroom is in the basement. So I use our main bathroom...and I can leave it a bit of a mess once in a while. This organizer is a great way to keep those tools in line and easy to access as part of your "getting ready for the day" routine.

This caddy fits a blow dryer in the top and a flat iron/curling wand/curling iron in the side slot. I made this one for my neighbor that loves sugar skulls, so this time of year felt really fitting!

Supplies Needed:

4" PVC "Y" Pipe
Vinyl
Cricut Maker
Pom Pom Trim
Hot Glue/Gun

We picked up this PVC pipe at the home improvement store...it's about 12 bucks. It's very sturdy and won't tip over once things are put inside it. Clean it off with some rubbing alcohol and let it air dry before applying the vinyl.
I used my Cricut Maker to cut a white vinyl Sugar Skull design that was free to use in Cricut Design Space. Then weeded the excess vinyl and added transfer tape to the top of the design. I ended up removing the teeth completely too because it just looked too weird to me. Haha, but pick a design you love and will match the theme of your bathroom or vanity.
Then center and place the vinyl on the clean pvc pipe.
Use the scraper tool to press the vinyl down firmly to the pipe. Then peel the transfer sheet off by rolling it back over the top of itself at about a 45* angle.
Then use some hot glue to adhere the pom-pom trim to the top and bottom edge of the pvc pipe. The colorful pom poms add the perfect finishing touch!

That's it!

Fill with tools and enjoy the organization!
