Ready to make your first cord? Here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Set Up the Machine

Place your machine on a flat surface.

If this is the first time using it, check the manual to make sure you are setting it up correctly.

You'll need to attach the long arm to the front of the machine.

Step 2: Thread Your Yarn

Use standard craft yarn or light worsted yarn.

Carefully guide the yarn through the threading path as shown in the instructions.

The yarn slips under the extended arm knob, there's a little groove for it to sit in without coming off during production.

Then thread the yarn from the outside of the clear needle cover hole to the inside.

Step 2: Thread Your Yarn Use standard craft yarn or light worsted yarn. Carefully guide the yarn through the threading path as shown in the instructions. Now hold onto the yarn coming out of the back of the machine.

Set the dial to 1, then turn on the machine and let the powerful motor do the work.

You’ll see your first cord begin forming almost immediately, keep holding onto the yarn until the i-cord comes out the back and is between those gears from earlier.

Then you can let go and let the machine do all the heavy lifting.
