The Perfect Homemade Barbecue Sauce Recipe

I am such a big fan of barbecue sauce, and most dipping sauces. This is great for Summer grilling, barbecues, flavoring meat and dipping in fries, onions and more. It's easy to make and your guests will want more!

This recipe is my brothers, but I've altered it slightly...mostly for size. Because we like a lot of it. I do not put red pepper flakes in mine...because I don't do spicy food.

Ingredients Needed for Barbecue Sauce

1/2 cup of chopped onion
4 cloves of minced garlic
3 cups brown sugar
2 cups Ketchup
1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon black pepper
1/2 cup red pepper flakes (optional)

Begin by chopping up the onions...or blending them. Then sauté them in a sauce pan until soft, golden brown and carmalized. Then remove from heat.

Next add the other ingredients and whisk them until smooth. No heat needed...just saving you from cleaning up extra dishes. Then pour in a large Mason jar and refrigerate overnight for best flavor.

Then put it on everything! Dip your fried foods in it. Pour it on hamburgers. Mix it to your pulled pork. Brush it on ribs before and after grilling. Dredge your chicken breasts in it before grilling. Heck, I even drizzle it on my pizza! Enjoy!

That's it!
