This time of year is the best time to get organized for next year.  Sitting in a cozy room, munching on leftover goodies from the holidays...kids are occupied with new toys, video games, and books to read.  (Is that what your home feels like?)  We put in a movie theater room into an outbuilding we have...so I only hear my kids when they rush inside to use the bathroom...they make it quick too--so I don't assign them a job!  Alas, my house is the perfect place for crafting right now.  I love making a bunch of birthday, wedding and "thinking of you" cards that will last the next year.  I always have good intentions of sending cards when I receive inspiration, there isn't always time to make a card.  This way I hav...

Wrapping Paper Storage Between the Floors of the House DIY!

Wrapping Paper Storage Between the Floors of the House DIY! Look at what I got for Christmas!  I wanted to have a better way to store long tubes of wrapping paper, rolls of fabric...and anything else on a roll.  My husband designed this genius hack that works if you have a basement. First he cut the drywall between the upstairs and downstairs floor joists and between the floor of the upstairs and ceiling of the downstairs.  Because we have open ceilings in the basement, it made this super simple.  Great project for an unfinished basement too. Then he built a floor and back, just like a 3 foot long cubby.  Then he covered the inside with some old flooring from our house remodel.  He framed out the edges with some pine to make everything smooth and clean looking.  Now I can store all the wrapping paper and other long-hard-to-store items. What's between your floors?  Super happy about this! Like, Pin and Share! ...

Merry Christmas with Free Christmas Printables
