Vinyl kind of day!

I have wanted to vinyl up my Kitchenaid  for a REALLY long time! Yesterday, I found my new Silhouette blade,  so I got to work! I chose a super swirly pattern--I love it!  It will look great sitting on my  industrial teacart...once I make that.  The actual reason I got so "vinyl inspired" was because  of the Kirby Vacuum salesmen...they've been  here twice now...and lots of other salesmen.   So I did the no soliciting sign...  It actually should read: We're Mormons We have wood floors We never clean We only buy cookies from minors. :) And then since the vinyl was being cut  for the mixer, I threw on a couple other  designs to use excess space.  Even the car got in on the action.  Well played.

St. Patrick's flashback!

Because we were just getting settled in  here during March, we missed a lot of blogging! Here we decorated shirts from the dollar store  for St. Patrick's day! Step one, insert scrap cardboard into shirt.    I just let the kids loose. For the 3 year old, I painted a clover and told him to color it in.  He informed me that he wanted it to say "Lucky Boy" And then he was done and ran off to play. The others were much more dedicated and  spent a lot of time on their shirts  Although she was disappointed that all we  were using was green paint. She did a great job anyhow! Lots of fun! So much, in fact, that Mr. 3 came back to  decorate more on his shirt!  So it turned out like this! It was great!  We painted on Thursday and  the wore them Saturday! Happy St. Patrick's day flashback!  :)

Easter Egg Keyboard DIY!

Okay, EVERYONE hated my computer keyboard. Everyone. Yes...they did too! It was black, so worn out...scratched from fingernails... letters missing!  My kids (and hubby) had a terrible  time typing on my keyboard. Well, Mr. Awesome himself (my hubby), decided it was  time for a DIY keyboard project! He taped off my keyboard with masking tape  and then painted the keys pink!   Notice the soft undertones of yellow?  He is a real artist! I used a sharpie and wrote on the crucial key information. but it was ugly.  Yay craft paint!   I took some time decorating every key as if it were an Easter egg! Stripes, chevrons, polka dots, plaids, swirls and flowers! Even a little Fleur de lis on the N! We finished it off with a clear spray varnish. Let it dry over night...and wahlah!  Pink perfection!  I love it, and I am using it now!  :) The biggest problem... Now, we a...
