Pineapple Applique Totes

Pineapple Applique Totes!
We love pineapples!
They are so fancy and regal!
First off, I got these fabulous cotton fabric totes from Oriental Trading!
They come in all colors.  They are very light weight, but they are a good size.
You will also need 2 fat quarters of yellow and green fabric!
You will also need heat transfer fabric interfacing, the sewable kind.
I got this from Silhouette, but you can find it at any fabric store.
I used a sheet of paper to draw a pattern.
Just fold it in half and cut.
 Then cut the top off.
Use the pattern to cut the fabric pieces.
 Iron out the wrinkles.

Then set the fabric with the wrong side on the rough side of the fabric interfacing.
Then cut the interfacing to fit the shape.
Then iron the fabric to the interfacing, just like you cut it.
Peel off the paper backing from the interfacing.
Place on the fabric tote and iron gently.
Place the crown on the pineapple and iron on.
Now it is ironed, but needs to be sewn to hold completely.
Use a sewing machine and add a stitch around the pineapple.
You can do a decorative stitch or a crazy stitch.
I just did a perfect straight stitch.
Super cute and great favor for young women or other
summer camp groups with a pineapple or Luau theme!
Easy to make!
Great for teaching basic sewing skills to tweens and teens too!

Pineapple Shirt!

 Pineapple Shirt!
Painted shirts are so fun and simple.
You just need fabric paint, stencil brush,
freezer paper and a tee shirt!
Either a cutting machine or an x-acto knife.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out my freezer paper on the cutting mat.
Set the blade to 1 and the copy paper setting.
Put a layer of cardboard in between the layers of the t-shirt so it doesn't bleed through.
Iron the freezer paper right to the shirt.
Use the stencil brush to paint the spaces.
Paint each color, I love the distressed look.
 Peel off the freezer paper.
 Let it dry completely!
 Awesome!
My daughter made these for her friends for Christmas.

Simple Pineapple Charm Necklaces!

 Simple Pineapple Charm Necklaces!
My daughter is into pineapples...so we decided a pineapple party and week was in order!
These necklaces are simple and delicate and such a fun reminder of being a pineapple!
I got my jewelry supplies from Oriental Trading!

You will need:
Silvertone Chain
Pineapple Charms
Jewelry Pliers
Jump Rings
I used loose chain.  I cut each length to 27 inches long and attached them with a jump ring.
That's long enough to fit around the head, so you don't need a clasp.
Then use the pliers and a jump ring to hook one pineapple charm to each.
They are super simple.  They are perfect!
Great for a fun tropical themed night, pineapple party or for a gift!
They are cute and a great project for a beginner jeweler!
And all cute necklaces need a great display!
Like this amazing jewelry tree!

Great for earrings, rings, chokers, bracelets and necklaces!
Only 10 inches tall, so not great for long necklaces, but cute and functional!
Perfect for simple charm necklaces!
