Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Rose Suncatcher Necklace!
~
I love Beauty and the Beast.
I love the story book introduction with the stained glass window
pictures and the fun enchanted rose and lady!

This is such a fun project, it's great for kids too!
These would make great favors for a little girls birthday party!
Wear as a necklace or hang from a window!
I love when this *Sorcoress, Witch, Magician* lady transforms out of the old lady!
Such a fun piece of art too!

This rose is just a small version and it's simple to make.
It will only take minutes.
You will need Shrink Plastic in clear

If you haven't played with Shrinky Dinks, you are missing out!
It is so much fun.  It never ceases to amaze me!
Print off this rose on regular printer paper.
Right click to save off...personal use only.
Use the print as a template.
Place one sheet of plastic over the top and trace it with a permanent marker.
Looks odd, but keep going.
I placed it right over the print off to show contrast while coloring.
You can use permanent markers, but I used alcohol based markers.

Go lightly, if it is too dark, once it bakes and shrinks, it will be too dark.
Lightly color in the spaces.
Try not to color over the black lines because they will cause it to smear.
I decided to add more black lines in the background and colored all shades of blue.
Add a hole in the top for hanging.
I used a 1/2 inch punch.
Place on a baking sheet with the "colored" side facing up.
Bake in the preheated oven at 350* for a few minutes.
Watch it the whole time.
It will curl up like a bowl and then shrink and flatten back out.
Then it's done.
You can see how much it shrunk.
Next get some cording and tie a larks head.
Then tie off the other ends.
Use it at as necklace or hang it up somewhere that you can see the sunlight through it.
I love to see it with light shining through!
Tale as old as time!

Perfect craft for Beauty and the Beast fanatics!
I love shinky dinks!
