Wire Wrapped Rings!

Wire Wrapped Rings! You can make the most incredible statement this Valentine's Day by giving the one you love a Wire Wrapped Ring!  With a huge selection of rhinestone faceted buttons and all colors of wrapping wires, you can make the perfect ring for any occasion!  They are big and fun, like a cocktail ring!  You will need: A ring sizer and a ring mandrel (less than $7)  You will also need buttons and wrapping wire. Again, available at any craft store. I picked these up at Hobby Lobby.  First you will need to decide what size to make your ring. You will need a piece of wire cut the length of the mandrel...about 12 inches. Place the middle of the wire on the mandrel a half size bigger than you want the ring to be. Wrap it around the mandrel and hold it tight with your fingers. Wrap it back around and slip the button on the wires. Hold it tight on the mandrel. Twist the wires coming out of the button holes, this will hold the button tight... so i

Puffy Dimensional Paint Doilies! #tbt

Puffy Dimensional Paint Doilies! Perfect Valentine Day decor!  Start with a doily or pattern.   Just google doily...print off a pic and you are good to go! Cover with wax paper. Use Puff paint to trace the pattern.  Start in the middle and work your way out,  just like you are crocheting it yourself! Keep your lines connected so it comes off in one piece!  Parts will come out thicker than others...this is fine!  Let it dry.  Mine dried all weekend, so I don't know exactly how long it needs... Gently peel off of the wax paper!  If the wax paper doesn't come off completely, let it soak in some warm water in the sink.  It should just peel off!  Perfect!  A plastic puff paint doily!  Probably best not to use as a trivet and put hot things on...but it's great for decor! You can do holiday themes too! A spider web for Halloween, a leaf for Autumn, flowers...etc!  Puffy Dimensional paint also sticks to glass! Make your ow

Leather Chevron Dangle Earrings!

Leather Chevron Dangle Earrings!  I got a bunch of scrap leather at the craft store.  And I cut 2 little chevron shapes out of Marsala colored leather. I didn't think I'd have any use for the Pantone Color of the Year 2015 ...but here it is!  You'll also need: 2 earring backs Jump rings chain  And if you are lucky enough to have a leather punch... punch 2 holes in the top of the chevrons... otherwise you can use a big needle.  Hook a jump ring through the hole and to the end of the chain.  Loop it over as far as you want your earrings to dangle...and then loop it to the other side.  Add the jump ring with the earring back right in the center... and repeat for the other earring.  Looks fabulous!  Totally chic!
