So Captain America comes out today!
I'm guessing there will be lots of action based on
the amount of battle damage shown above!
Well, we wanted to do a Captain America inspired craft...
so we used the shield, not S.H.I.E.L.D., for inspiration.

 And made necklaces!
Shrinky Dink or Shrink plastic...plastic #6 is the BEST!
You can use it for so many things!
 Here's how we made them.
Each of the kids got a sheet of shrink plastic and sharpies to color on it.
I made 6 shield like sketchy things...alternating the color for variety!
Make sure to punch large holes in them before baking them.
Place them colored side up on a pan.
Bake in the oven at 350* for about 5 minutes!
Watch them...they will curl up...
 And then flatten back out.
That's when they are done.

It only takes a few seconds to cool off completely.
Then I used about 18" chain and 7 jump rings.
I just hooked all the shields together with a jump ring!
 Easy.
Added the chain to connect the row of shields...tada!
Perfect for a patriotic ensemble too!
Here's the ones my kids did.
the 10 year old, the 5 year old, and the nearly 12 year old.
Not sure exactly what he drew...but he was pretty
stoked about it and that is all that matters!
These guys are best buddies with their matchy pendants.
How will you celebrate the return of Captain America?
I'll be honest...I like the old style Captain America alot...
at least I like the wings on the cap.
But, I've been know to like winged helms...
