Vinyl Inspiration on the Walls!

Yesterday I decided to put some vinyl up on the walls!
I put my favorite scripture up in my bedroom.  It's Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all they ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
I put it on the wall in this gorgeous frame!
Not going to lie.  This. took. forever.
All those little delicate letters...probably took an hour just to peel off the backing...
but very worth it.  I love how it turned out!
Then into the entry way...
On Episode 1 of Star Wars, Senator Palpatine said this line to Queen Amidala...
"Don't go! Stay here where it's safe!"...
So anytime someone leaves...like even to just go to the bathroom...we'll say that!
And when company comes over, we'll keep them much longer
 than they planned and we usually throw the line in there too!
 So, I thought it would make the perfect entry way decor!
{and it does}

 Finally a little work around the chalkboard.

Well, my most favorite hymn {song we sing at church} is
LOVE AT HOME.

(I did a wall thing at our last house too)
I love it.  It has beautiful lyrics.  I love all 3 of these verses:

There is beauty all around, When there’s love at home;
There is joy in ev’ry sound,When there’s love at home.
Peace and plenty here abide, Smiling sweet on ev’ry side.
Time doth softly, sweetly glide
When there’s love at home.

In the cottage there is joy, When there’s love at home;
Hate and envy ne’er annoy, When there’s love at home.
Roses bloom beneath our feet; All the earth’s a garden sweet,
Making life a bliss complete
When there’s love at home.

Kindly heaven smiles above, When there’s love at home;
All the world is filled with love, When there’s love at home.
Sweeter sings the brooklet by; Brighter beams the azure sky.
Oh, there’s One who smiles on high
When there’s love at home.

{I actually wanted to name my daughter Brooklyn,
so I could call her "brooklet" in honor of this song...but we didn't.}
Oh well...so I picked my most favorite phrase...cut it out...
totally had some screw ups...but worked out all the kinks!
 Taped them in place...moved them around a million times...then got out the level...
and the vinyl is teal...not green.  I just took pics in poor lighting!

 Stuck them up there...added some flourishes...and a bird...we'll name the bird 'Brooklet'
 And then had a really hard time taking a good picture of it.
Why do they look so crooked?
But I love it.  And I sing the song when I see it...it will probably
 radiate and make home a sweeter place.

 I feel happy and so inspired!
Still finding the perfect words for other rooms in the house...
any ideas, quotes or scriptures you just love?
More about vinyl and me.
I buy my vinyl in bulk...usually 20-40 rolls at a time.
  It's about 68-89 cents for a square foot.
That makes all these projects in the $6 total range.
 It's indoor/outdoor and rated for life indoors...so it'll be here longer than us!

Here's my kitchenaid I did a while back...still looks gorgeous!

Linking up to THESE parties this week!

Oh wow, I can't believe you are having all this vinyl fun without me! It all looks fantastic, but the mixer is my favorite!

Warmly, Michelle
