Upcycled/Repurposed ugly things!
2 huge pickle jars cleaned with goo gone.
psss...goo gone will also take off that "best by" date thing!
I had this werid knob like thing for a while...
and I glued it on a lid with E6000
I also had this giant goldy butterfly heart...
so I glued it on a lid...
Let them dry.
I painted it gray...then took it to the workshop and
spray painted it metallic gun metal!
Perfecto!
Doesn't even smell like pickles!
Painted it sparkly teal!
and presto!
I love how ornate these lids are now! So fun!
Now...what to fill them with???

Next was this plastic cloche cheese dome thing...
I glue a candlestick to the bottom.
Still very blah!
And then painted it my "go to" color of AQUA!
Much better!
Moral of the story:
Glue, paint and accessories! :)

Linking up to THESE parties this week!

Those jars look great! I love the knobs. What will you do with the finished jars?

I am in love with these and since I have like 6 of these pickle jars I will be on the hunt in the morning for something to make them worth keeping! Came over from Faith, trust & Pixie Dust!
